Scenario Practice

The teaching method used in this class relies on role playing where students act the roles of patients and rescuers. Maintaining those roles consistently is essential to the success of all students in the class. Students who are unable or unwilling to consistently maintain their roles will disrupt the learning of other students in the class. This is not acceptable behavior.

This class makes extensive use of scenario practice. Because the class times conflict with many patrollers' work schedules, we will likely have fewer class assistants than classes with more conventional meeting times. Students playing the role of patients will be responsible for providing critique of scenario performance.
